WARNING: Do NOT use Tigo brand solar panels with this charge controller. It can destroy the internal electronics.
NOTE: The Classic SL model charge controllers are designed to only work with PV solar systems and will not work for wind or hydro. They also do not come with arc fault protection or Ethernet capability. Those features are only available on the standard Classic controllers.
96 Amp, 12 to 72 Volts Adjustable Output.
The MidNite Solar Classic MPPT charge controller is the most advanced controller on the market. It comes in three standard models (150, 200 and 250 volts) which will charge up to 72 volt battery banks using solar, wind or hydro power. The model number corresponds to the maximum operating voltage that the controller can handle on the input side. The Classic is also the safest controller available due to its built-in ground fault protection. The Classic controllers are also one of the easiest to set up and use. MidNite Solar has taken the guesswork out of setting up your system by implementing a set up wizard with voice prompts. The wizard can help walk you through battery hook up, PV array sizing and hook up, wire sizing, breaker selection, PV combiner selection, sunrise and sunset program set up and voltage drop calculations. The Classic SL units can be paralleled with other SL units, standard Classics, and the Classic Lite controllers for battery charging with multiple PV arrays.

You guys are my guys when it comes to solar. When I got stuck, making a phone call or appointment was one of the huge keys to how well this worked. The confidence and encouragement... it validated that I could do it.

Once I got the plan set, it was easy to install... it was amazing how quick it went once everything was all set up. I knew what to expect, I knew what the inspector would be looking for... you guys were there to back me up, so it was the smartest option for me.

As a DIYer, it's all plug and play, so it's incredibly straightforward... you have certified engineers doing your designs, therefore they're gonna be safe electrically and structurally. That to me is a big peace of mind when I did this.
